Terms of Service
Last updated: June 17, 2026
These Terms govern your purchase of services from ADR Legal Services, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing a packet you agree to these Terms.
1. We Are Not Attorneys
We are not attorneys. We cannot give legal advice, explain or interpret the law, recommend a specific course of action, or select forms for you. We are registered and bonded California Legal Document Assistants ("LDAs") authorized to prepare self-help legal documents only at your specific direction, pursuant to California Business & Professions Code §§ 6400–6415.
2. Scope of Services
We prepare the documents identified in the packet you purchase based solely on the facts and instructions you provide. We do not file documents with the court unless you separately direct us to. Court filing fees, service-of-process costs, publication costs, and any other third-party fees are your responsibility and are not included in our fee.
3. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information.
- Choose which forms and procedures to use.
- Review the completed packet for accuracy before filing.
- Consult an attorney if you need legal advice.
4. Fees and Refunds
Packet fees are flat fees, paid in advance through Stripe. Because we begin work immediately upon receipt of payment, fees become non-refundable once we have delivered a completed packet. If you cancel before delivery, we will issue a pro-rata refund reflecting work already completed.
5. Communications
By providing your email address you consent to receive transactional communications related to your purchase, including receipts, intake instructions, and packet delivery.
6. Confidentiality
We treat the information you provide as confidential and use it only to prepare your packet, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
7. No Guarantee of Outcome
Court outcomes depend on facts, judges, and procedures outside our control. We make no guarantee that any filing will be accepted, granted, or successful.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to a packet is limited to the fees you paid for that packet. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
